Direct Action is a tactic used to make an immediate intervention or disruption that stops business as usual.
Direct Actions seek to contribute to the liberation of Black People by confronting injustice wherever it occurs.
From the Blackout Collective
The Basics
When an injustice takes place we may decide to take direct action to expose, stop, block, or ortherwise intervene. We use direct actions that deligitibize systems, demand our rights, and push those in power to meet our demands.
There are many examples of direct action such as:
Blockades
Rallys
Caravans
Marches
Reclaiming Space
Strikes
Banner Hanging
Work Slowdowns
Walk-Outs
Disobedience
Social Media Campaigns
Hunger Strikes
Street Theater
Wheatpasting
