Direct Action is a tactic used to make an immediate intervention or disruption that stops business as usual.

Direct Actions seek to contribute to the liberation of  Black People by confronting injustice wherever it occurs.

The Basics

When an injustice takes place we may decide to take direct action to expose, stop, block, or ortherwise intervene. We use direct actions that deligitibize systems, demand our rights, and push those in power to meet our demands.

There are many examples of direct action such as:

  • Blockades

  • Rallys

  • Caravans

  • Marches

  • Reclaiming Space

  • Strikes

  • Banner Hanging

  • Work Slowdowns

  • Walk-Outs

  • Disobedience

  • Social Media Campaigns

  • Hunger Strikes

  • Street Theater

  • Wheatpasting
